After Ortho Implant (TADs)

  1. Take 800 mg ibuprofen immediately, and then 400 mg as needed for dental discomfort.
  2. Rinse with warm water and hydrogen peroxide (mixture), one ounce of each: swish and spit 2-3 times per day for 2 weeks.  If peridex is prescribed: rinse with 15 ml of .012% chlorhexidine gluconate (peridex) for 30 seconds as needed for periimplant erythema thereafter.
  3. Do not play with the Ortho Implant with fingers or tongue.
  4. Do not eat anything hard, chewy, or sticky in the vicinity of the Ortho Implant.

Call if Ortho Implant or orthodontic attachments become loose or for any other concerns.
