After Ortho Implant (TADs)
- Take 800 mg ibuprofen immediately, and then 400 mg as needed for dental discomfort.
- Rinse with warm water and hydrogen peroxide (mixture), one ounce of each: swish and spit 2-3 times per day for 2 weeks. If peridex is prescribed: rinse with 15 ml of .012% chlorhexidine gluconate (peridex) for 30 seconds as needed for periimplant erythema thereafter.
- Do not play with the Ortho Implant with fingers or tongue.
- Do not eat anything hard, chewy, or sticky in the vicinity of the Ortho Implant.
Call if Ortho Implant or orthodontic attachments become loose or for any other concerns.
