The Extraction Process

Your primary dentist has recommended an Oral Surgeon take a look at a particular tooth or several teeth for evaluation of extraction. If the Oral Surgeon agrees the tooth/teeth need to be removed during your consultation another appointment will be scheduled for the extraction(s).

At the time of extraction, the doctor will need to numb the gum area around the affected tooth with local anesthetic.

During the extraction process you will feel pressure without pain as the anesthetic has numbed the nerves which stop the transference of pain. The pressure is from the process of firmly rocking the tooth in order to widen the socket for removal.
